Title: Frameshift
Category/Rating: Fringe/Firestarter, PG
Summary: Fringe Division picks up a new case. Parallels abound. (post-season 4)

Oh, this is wonderful. I'm a pushover for Cortexi-powers and the like, and the fact that it's very well-characterized fic in this time period is just the icing on the cake.

Thank you very much. I like to think that Walter was just guessing about Olivia's powers being spent at the end of season 4.

Aw. This hit so many of my buttons for why I love Fringe: inexplicable happenings, Olivia bonding with the people on the case (especially kids!), Peter watching *everything* and being so comfortable with knowing that Olivia watches, too. Plus, the really sweet echo into their own life and Olivia's worry about the baby and her past.

I, too, like to think that Walter was guessing about Olivia's powers, but I also like the idea that she DOES get a break. Maybe not a complete break, but after what she went through, it seems she deserves some time off from nearly destroying/saving the world.

Thank you!

Peter watching *everything* and being so comfortable with knowing that Olivia watches, too.

You know, I really like this description of them; it's why they work so well as partners in the field despite everything else going on. And I think she gets a break too - though I wouldn't be surprised if the powers come back into play in some way in the finale. It'd be weird to just close that chapter after so much of the series was founded on the assumption.

I think it would be more than weird... I mean, the whole series starts with the weird stuff that happens to and around Olivia. I don't suppose I can hope for her setting things on fire with her mind, but surely there's something she can do...

This is fantastic! Love the case, love the parallels between Charlie and Olivia, and I love the Bishop family and how you've portrayed their love for each other so very much.

Thank you so much. I've been thinking about the similarities with Firestarter since Subject 13 aired, and the end of season four seemed like the perfect jumping off point, what with the extended Bishop family coming together but so many questions left open. So glad you enjoyed it. :)
