Sooo... the hard drive is messed up?  And they're sending me a new one, and once I install it that should solve the problem...?  Supposedly?  Hopefully???

And it was only a month old.  :-(

Fortunately I have recent backups of my most important files.  With the exception of a few notes from the first week of classes, everything is safe.
