For the past few days, Laura had been getting acquainted with the station's different facilities, from places to shop to places to eat, and she had to admit it had quite the set up. When she came into the room, it looked as though it should have more people. Though it didn't. It had one. A little spry man she'd encountered before, half of him scooted into a lit podium and trying with all his might to dislodge bits of wiring that kept repairing himself.

"You rascally contraption!" He was arguing with it, rolling his "r" in a thick Scottish accent that wasn't really. "You will do as I say, even if we have to fight to the end of time! I've been there and I wouldn't cross me if I were-"

And then silence, as he was shifting his eyes out of sight, wondering at what he thought was the whoosh of the door.

Holding his hat on his head, he slid out the bottom. "....Ah! Miss Roslin. Hello. What brings you here?"

Laura was surprised to see that the room was empty, until she heard a familiar voice. Smiling a little, she held out her key. "Well, I'm not sure exactly. This was outside of my quarters and I followed the note. Did you receive one too?" she asked. "Or do you work here?"

"You too?" He dislodged himself from the console, unaware that it was putting itself together again even as he moved away.

"I was working in the laboratory. I've since moved my efforts here since receiving the key. It activated this particular console when I put it in and I couldn't pull it back out."

Oh, and he'd tried to pull it back out.

Laura's eyes drifted behind him, then back to his face again. "What do you think it means we're supposed to do?" she asked curiously as she stepped further into the room. "Why would you and I be given a key to Operations? Especially when I literally know nothing about the operations of a space station," she smirked.
