Also I rather like my other poem for this week, which was a random "spirit of place" poem I wrote in about half an hour. My classmates seemed to enjoy it too, which was heartening.

i really love that you're putting up your poetry here, mainly because i really love your poetry. this particular poem reminds me of home.

also, thank you for the reference to rilke's poem, it helped me figure something out for myself that i've possibly been working on for a long time.

Um, I don't think so. Lucy's and my birthday party will be on Saturday night after Social Dance, so if you want to use that as an excuse to dress up you may, but it's certainly not necessary.
