I had a fun day at work. I sat in on about half of the Spanish class. Mr. Smith lent me a book on linguistics. When he first pulled it out I thought, "Oh no, he's going to try to nail my ass," but he just said, "I think you might find this interesting. Look, this guy counts these things as clauses..." I think I might want to be a linguist when ( Read more... )

I still make a horrible girl; I could tell the saleslady thought I needed help.

Oy...this brings back memories of going up to makeup counters with my mom (when she was the only one intending to buy) and having the lady try to persuade me to try something. With a sense, it seemed, of charity from her end. What is it with our culture?

Huh. I'm apparantly a classic androgyne too, although I certainly think of myself as more femme. Perhaps hanging out with dykes and New Age Guys just has that effect on one...

I got classic androgyne too. Which I suppose makes sense, although like Marina I tend to think of myself as more femme. Strange.

I think certain things about me are quite femme (my reactions to stress, for instance), but I think that in both our cases, and in Marina's too, it's probably balanced out by other stuff.

Another "classic androgyne" here. It seems to be the in thing. Fortunately, it is not ugly.

Blah. I feel your pain... I just had to go shopping too. It sucked in a major way. I found one thing in the entire mall, and it needs modifications before I can wear it.

I came out a soft androgyne. Some of the questions were unfair. The one about 'which technology are you most uncomfortable with?' listed things that I can operate with great skill, thanks. ^_^

If you don't like being in a dress, you're going to look like you need help even if it's the most gorgeous dress in the world. If you love the dress, you could wear a potato sack and still come off all right. I can attempt to teach you about 'being a girl' *gag* if you really want, but I think trying to make yourself into something you just aren't is usually a bad idea. I say, be as androgynous as you want. ^_^ As long as you're a friendly eccentric it's all good.

Then again, I just went bra shopping, voluntarily. I have apparently gone up a cup size for God only knows what reason. They got me to spend $40 on a strapless bra. *frowns vaguely at chest* They may be gaining entirely too much power....
