It's taken me a few months to figure out how to do this. Inspired by sabotabby, I present

That's funny. Now I want to take an editor to bed.

Glad you liked it. We both giggled a lot at the time, after I finished apologizing.

I'm told we can be fun in bed, so long as you watch your usage. [Insert obligatory comma sutra joke here, if you must, but only if you must.]

I keep a copy of Fowler's Modern English Usage (2nd ed.) by my bedside (I don't read Sanskrit). And I've been known to make a very attractive young lady wait so that I could satisfy myself about a point of Latin syntax. (I made it up to her, of course).

ooooohhhh....

[Sigh] A man who knows his editions of Fowler. [Sigh]

I did once break off a long, passionnate kiss to look up an etymology in the Concise Oxford. I cannot now remember what the question was, alas.

As long as you made the wait worth the while (and shared the answer with her, with footnotes [sigh...footnotes].

Nicely done.

It's got comic timing and everything!

I need to get going on further installments of Yarn Ninja...

Glad you like it. Took me a while to figure out how to present the vignette, given that I'm artistically incompetent. But, you know, in the dark, it doesn't matter how badly I draw.

Ah, so very many things don't matter in the dark.

How do the lights get turned out when there are etymologies that might need to be looked up?

Well, the bedside lamp is within easy reach.

Also, I can't draw. I'm not sabotabby.
