Belated Fashion Friday: Scarf This

Not that I'm especially fashionable-I'm not. I do spend an awful lot of time figuring out what to wear, thinking about clothes and style, and finding fun things to wear. So every now and again, I am going to opine on clothes, style, and accessories. Mostly my own, because I can take whatever I dish out.*

I agree that that's quite the expression on your face. That particular scarf isn't so much to my taste, but I can see it working the way you've got it in the photo. As long as you're getting enough air.

And I know you weren't fishing for compliments, but I always think you're very stylish. It's one of the first things I noticed about you. So, whatever you're doing, it's working better than you know.

I often think fashion and style are antagonists, if not mutually exclusive. The fashion industry certainly wants people to buy clothes far more often than is necessary regardless of whether or not those clothes flatter (see also: skinny jeans).

Good luck with the scarf. You'll probably do better if you don't make funny faces at the camera and undermine the whole endeavour. :-p

Hi, Audra told me to follow you and I am. I hope that's ok, but if you don't want strangers reading you, that's ok too and I will unfriend you! Also you don't need to friend me. My journal is pretty 'daily update' crud most of the time and not the most fascinating stuff on the net.

PS Also I think I would like the scarf better with hair up. Because it's a little, you know, hairy. But I think the multicoloredness and purple mean that it's ok to wear with black, even if there's brown in it. I'm also a fan of the black outfit, tan boot thing though.

I had that same thought about the hair.

And I've decided the scarf is okay with black, too. I think black and tan are fine together, but black and brown can be risky. Not impossible, just risky.
