This is going to sound really weird, but I love the fact that you have a New Recipe Night. I think it's because it shows an approach to the world where you habitually seek new experiences and don't get hidebound in the tradition of how things are Supposed To Be.

Um. Hmm. Well, I love my glittery silver fingernails. But that may not be the kind of thing you're looking for.
Well, one thing I really love is the fact that I've come to value my emotions, and my emotional connections, over my brains. (There was a time when, if you'd asked me to name one thing I liked about myself, I would have automatically said "my intelligence" just because that's all I had.)
A second thing I love about myself is my semi-fanatical optimism. Yes, it fails from time to time. But I've worked at it long enough that it's almost automatic now, and it really improves the way I experience life. I find so much more joy this way.

I've been admiring the optimism, and how you show it. It's not mindless-you're clearly smart, and realistic, and able to call things as they are. You just don't seem to dwell on the negatives. I love that.
