Yay for chocolate user heads! And even better on your progress on your story! Mine isn't going well, but only because current out of town job is *kicking* my ass. *sigh*
I hope so. I'm having some real trouble with my hands at the moment. I'm doing more typing than ever and I don't think they are ever getting a break. :-(
Ouch, that doesn't sound good. Hand troubles are no fun at all :(
Is it fingers or wrists? I know there's unfortunately not much to do for hurting fingers, but a wristbrace can provide some support without restraining movement too much. A good occupational therapist can help get one fitted (though I have no idea how much that would cost in the states... we have plenty of subventions for disability aids here so I was lucky enough to get mine for a song.)
My OT tells me that the problem with typing is such a monotone task. She recommends micro breaks every fifteen minutes or so, just take minute to squeeze one of those foam balls or something. I can get the most horrific cramps in my hands if I'm at it for too long, but taking the breaks seems to prevent my hands from locking up completely. Then again, it can be difficult to just stop writing when you're on a roll...
(Lots of unsolicited advice here, sorry. Hope you feel better soon!)
Hmmmm.... :: peeks out from behind mane :: I'm not a big fan of h/c (in fact I'm a big weenie) but I look forward to reading your fic, now with *Title*! As long as you promise he'll be OK in the end. Substantially OK, anyhow. :: reconsiders ::
Well, maybe I'll wait & read your summary & warnings first. (Yes, BIG weenie. ;-) But yay ``*\o/*`` for writing, & titles, & folks sending you chocolate! I send a glass of sparkley-cold iced tea, 'cause it's hot & blazing sunny here, & a berry tart. Go-go Writer Gal!!
I promise to return him in roughly the same shape I found him! Maybe even a little better, if I can get him to co-operate *g*
Thanks for the iced tea! It's raining where I am, but I'm not complaining too much. Rain leads to many mushrooms in the woods in the autumn and I need more chanterelles in my freezer :)
