Eeeee! It's so good to read about the EP guys, especially them just moving into their own house. I foresee them having alternating freak-outs over the next few weeks: John about the permanence of planting trees & bulbs & outlining the Definite Place For Each Tool on the pegboard he puts up in the garage; Rodney about choosing paint colors & claiming a room & how each decision might affect, in effect narrow, future choices in an infinite progression.... And then the not-freaking-out one will come up & hug him & listen sympathetically (with more or less success ;-) & reassure him that it's going to be OK because this is "the best idea ever, really, & besides we don't want Newton to come from a broken home, do we?" -- whereupon they both crack up snickering & then pay more attention to serious kissing (after dragging each other to the far side of the garage, when John was freaking out in the yard).

Ah, what a lovely treat after the Canada/Independence Day holidays! Thanks for sharing sgamadison's prezzie with us. :-D

Oooh, there will be so many freak-outs and John will watch like a hawk to make sure Rodney doesn't pay for too much stuff and sulk a little when new tools mysteriously turn up in the garage and Rodney acts oh-so-innocent and has no idea at all where they came from, and Rodney will try to keep his misgivings about John's frequent visits to the local animal shelter to himself, and somehow they will make it all work :)
