My personal favorite was Cas telling Lucifer that no, he didn't just molotov cocktail Michael. Nope, wasn't him.
As for the rest of it? I was more willing to believe that the Impala was God throughout the series than Chuck was up until his cleaned up appearance. That was just the SPN writers giving a 'gotcha' moment as opposed to really thinking of the implications. I would hope that God is not as skeevy as Chuck's been.
Castiel isn't dead and that's all I was really hoping for. I don't think the writers would've known how to write him in season six as a human, so, they didn't.
Chuck-as-God felt extremely ret-conned to me. About as ret-conned as the news that demons have apparently followed Sam around all his life. I could have believed it if it had been mentioned before, but not when they only threw it in during the last three episodes. A sidenote: My favourite fictional God is and will always be Alanis Morissette in Dogma!
Ditto on the Cas-not-being-dead part! I never expected to love him as much as I do, considering that the first time I saw him, I kind of wanted to punch him in the face. He grew on me :)
that demons have apparently followed Sam around all his life.
Oh yeah; I'd managed to block that from my memory because it was so stupid. Unless the other kids whose Moms ended up on the ceiling also had demons following them around all their lives this makes no sense and completely screws established canon. But hey, the writer is God, right? aaargh!
And my new word for the day was ret-conned - had no idea what it meant until I looked it up!
And my new word for the day was ret-conned - had no idea what it meant until I looked it up! I think it's pretty well-established, but then again, I'm a comic book nerd and comics practically live on ret-con. But hey, Torchwood even named their amnesia drug Retcon!
Oh, and also on the topic of ret-con: Dean must've been wearing his amulet during The Monster at the End of This Book and the boys might be a little dim at times, but I think they would've noticed if it had started glowing brightly in Chuck's presence...
I should probably stop thinking about this and shut up and go back to work now ;)
