I saw a live production of it this past Sept at The Vortex Theater. Check out a review from The Albuquerque Journal.

I loved it, though I would have liked for them to try the ending onstage... just to see it done. Although I am disheartened to hear that you didn't enjoy the film adaptation (y'know that The Exorcist's William Friedkin directed it?), I can kinda see how it might translate so well from stage to screen.

I still look forward to seeing the film. More than that, however, I look forward to watching it in tandem with William Castle's BUG. I think that pairing should be a hoot! ;)

Ooh! I am jealous! I would love to see it performed. The move was not bad by any means...but it was just clear that it was meant to be a play so I wanted so much to see it in the format. I have never heard of the other BUG you mention. I shall go click that link right now! xo

funny someone else mentioned william castle's "BUG" as i was sure when i first heard about freidkin's film i thought it would be a remake ("BUG" is about big roaches that spray fire out of their asses). the acting in the new "BUG" is excellent, i have loved ashley judd ever since seeing her in john mcnaughton's very underrated "NORMAL LIFE". the performances are similar but she is topless a lot more in "NORMAL LIFE". not that she's fat enough for me or anything, but yeah.

yeah.
