Between Flock packing up shop, Delicious ruining itself, and everything with LJ this year, my favorite internet applications are making me BAWLLLLL. Someone obviously didn't relay the memo that pissing off your already paying customers is bad business.
These newest changes
and proposed future ones feel like the last straw for me. I've been a loyal

It worked; we all got along fine. Nothing was wrong in the land of LJ. Until someone went code happy and produced something that's laggy and not that functional.

Most upsetting is really just how proud and HAPPY they are acting about it, like they're the best improvements in the world. It must makes me more furious.

Yeah, they really love the code--but I can't see how.

I've been betaing the new scrapbook and it's pretty much balls too, though I haven't gone to say anything. Moving everything in that direction is just a level of wrong I don't understand.
How can programmers/coders see what is good code and say "how can we make this not work better?" I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!

What is the scrapbook? Is it to make it more like tumblr or delicious's stacks?

OH, and I meant to say, I'm rozf on tumblr and rozfost on twitter. Following you at both places.

Thanks for the link to create a DW account, I've been meaning to for a while but last time I tried it wouldn't let me because I needed a code.
I just went to preview this like I do 99% of my comments but OH RIGHT, WE CAN'T DO THAT ANY MORE.

Glad the DW link was helpful, I really do need to get used to things over there. It's slightly different so besides transferring all my posts, I just never took the time to learn it all. But now that LJs up and changing everything here, a little bit of change for the old interface doesn't seem like a bad trade. I always knew this day would come. Fuckin, LJ and Delicious, in the same three month span. It's kinda tragic. I can almost hear TAPS playing in the background. ;(

It sucks so bad that you only just renewed it, but hey, at least we don't have permanent accounts and can let them know monetarily how we feel about this.
Getting used to DW probably won't take long, we put up with many changes when using the net so it's not too bad to adjust to. Unless it's completely fucking useless functionally in which case you leave and take your money with you. ;)
I WANT TO PREVIEW BUT I CANNOT. >:|

Anyway, I'm adding you everywhere! I'm either evergleam83 like here, or else aftertherockets, which I've been trying to sort of switch everything over to. :D

I hear you about tumblr though, not having comments bugs me, it's like the lazyman's blog, just like or reblog. Meanwhile, I find a post with a bunch of notes and I just wave my hands going 'wait, but what did you THINK about it?!?'. Sure, I guess sometimes it's helpful, but I've had this convo elsewhere, like the 'Kudos' button on AO3, it's easy and handy but it's also a crutch because you don't have to think about WHY you liked it, the feedback for the author isn't really helpful. Not like I can talk, I'm backlogged on comments I owe from YEARS ago on some vids/fic.
