Why is it whenever I take on a project it grows to MASSIVE proportions? *facepalm* For the record, this was originally three different posts, which unfortunately made no sense when separated. This makes my little heart so happy and fills me with absolute glee. \o/ You have built such a solid case here that I don't have anything to add. I'll just happily flail at this post until 5x17 airs and breaks my heart. *nods*

But... Do you happen to have any ideas about the American flags (which we've seen in almost every S5 episode) and/or the color white that appears often together with the reds and the blues (like e.g. in the flags)? Because if red and blue symbolize the boys/fire and water, could the white then indicate God/Cas? Which could sort of make the flags a symbol of Team Free Will. But this is just me blathering.

As a rule, a gruesome harsh green light like that is just NOT used in film, typically, AT ALL.

*agrees* The movie Natural Born Killers does use it, though, and exactly to mark "sickness, disease, toxicity, and poison" as you mentioned. So the scene automatically reminds me of the movie and a sort of induced hallucination and madness.

I'm convinced now more than ever that at least one of them are going to say ( ... )

Awww, well, what can I say, you have spread the cinematography bug well. :)

But... But this is just me blathering.Nothing really substantial. No more than last time. It's really much less coded, though I do think it has just a subtle illusion to a patriotic fight for humanity? Which Team Free Will is fighting for. I had thought a while ago that the white might be a symbol of God's intervention, there were a couple times where there was an explicit white light used in conjugtion with a red light and blue light. So I guess you could correlate that to Cas, since God specifically brought him back ( ... )
