Walter Fredrick "Fred" Morrison died on Tuesday. I didn't even know his name until today, but his invention has affected my life more strongly than the TV or the toaster. I owe a fair bit of my good health and self esteem to that plastic disk. So here's to you, Fred. May perfect hammers and wicked layouts lead thee to thy rest.
