This was amazing. I'm so glad Tommy talked to Adam and I loved at the end when Adam told him he had never been alone and Tommy was stunned because he hadn't thought of that. This whole story is so true to life, or at least to mine. I know exactly how Tommy feels here. And it is hard to talk about it and you do feel all alone even when you're not. And I'm crying, so thanks for this. It was beautiful.
Thank you. I'm glad it meant something to you. Yeah, it's easy to get stuck on the idea that you have to go it alone. It's part of how our society views illness-you have to tough it out. That idea's pretty much the exact opposite of what people with mental disorders need.
I'm crying and I don't even know why (well maybe I do but that's a whole other story, LOL). Sometimes stories can be so cathartic. I wasn't expecting it but perhaps I needed that. :) I liked that you showed the complexity of the illness; that it's not an easy fix, and that it's a process. Also that even when Tommy's going through what he was in this instance, he could still laugh and "be himself" at times (he's always himself, but you know what I mean, like with Ashley, talking about wanting syrup - ha!). And even though he doesn't feel strong, he had the strength to tell Adam what was going on, and wanted to protect Adam from "getting dragged down" (even though he was the only one seeing it that way). Nice job!
Thanks. I'm glad I wrote it, I started it when I was having a tough weekend. I actually felt like I was ripping off moodwriter at first, but that faded off.
Tommy gets my issues a lot. It just works, at least to me.

Yes, and it is so hard to break out of that feeling because the depression keeps sucking you back down.
Thanks again.
