There's a parade going on in the Village right now, and I think I hear fireworks in the not-so-far distance!

Roommate A wants us to go join the parade :D

we live in a secluded subdivision, and everyone has jobs, so no noise here...at least not outside.

Hee, the cheering is so loud in some apartments that during Obama's speech that apparently everyone was watching, I heard loud cheering during the pauses in his speech :D

hahaha...must be nice; you could hear a pin drop in Orange County ;)

Wow. I remember sitting in 6k listening to Obama speak at the Democratic National Convention during the last presidential race and saying "Why can't we vote for that guy? He'd make a great president" :)

Oh, the memories!

We ended up going to Union Square for the festivities. Nothing organized, just a bunch (or a lot) of people cheering and doing celebration-y things. Roommate A and her fiance are still there. Me, I'm extroverted-out, but it was fun while I was there :)
