Prompt: Quidditch jerseys

For the Fluff Thread.

A/N: I played directly off Hez’s jersey snippet to break my writing dry-spell this week.  Notice it was left on the couch just like Ron's.  Thanks Hez for helping me break the curse!  Maybe I’ll get some work done on my WIP tomorrow now that my fingers are clicking the keys again.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was fun to write. Just so you know, the first thing I posted on the thread was about a paragraph long. Yup, I think she risked a smell too..on the stairs like Hez said. ; )

That's exactly where I think she sniffed it! On the dark and winding stone staircase. I hope some boy exited his dorm just in time to catch her at it. Writing should always be this fun. You know, instead of that headdesk it sometimes turns out to be. ; )

Dry spells are the worst, aren't they? I'm glad you found some inspiration!

I think she "inhaled" no doubt about it. She knew it smelled like musty grass. I also like how she blew on his face to wake him up - that action dovetails nicely with all the smelling going on. I also like how Lily rescued his jersey - if not him - from all his fan girls. He must have looked adorable having his cat nap. And I like Lily's idea of a good rumor - back warts. She's still got a nice bit of spice to her in a fluffy scene.

Have you ever had that experience of seeing something real, but you're only semi-conscious so you think you're dreaming? Yes, if I need some more divergence, the alternate POV on this would be quite fun to write!

Oh Zia, I loved this! It was vivid and rang true for their characters. Your James is so funny. And of COURSE she smelled it! I'm sorry I can't be more detailed, but I'm playing Old Maid with the girls as I type this. Great job.
