Muahaha, great post! Good pictures, too, and crazy-ass river/flooding! Though you're rather brave to have attempted to ford the river (no ferry available? We you able to slaughter the oxen?) - I would have been afraid my car would flood and stall out in the middle. It looks so random there, all that water, like some perversion of nature's way. Also, the cars from the first flood are a nice touch. Two people died in '04? Yeeps!

I'm looking forward to Return to Death Valley Days!

Yeah, people don't realize how dangerous Death Valley can be--people disappear pretty regularly considering how impossible that should be in this day and age. But I guess if people knew how dangerous it was they might not come to visit at all ( ... )
