Poor baby patiently waiting and being okay with the fact that Sehun was dating girls even tho he was in love with him. That's true friendship right there. I wouldn't mind a bff Jongin of my own who would secretly be in love with me. Give me that.
I think this was a bit angsty and this didn't have like a light mood throughout the wholr fic. Right from the start I was just thinking "poor Nini" and even tho you didn't venture that much in the background story, it still hurt my heart a little (because I tend to think further into things, like in this case Jongin losing his dream. Even tho you only mentioned it quickly I was like ASKKFLDLS WHY, HE MUST BE SO SAD WHAT HE GONNA DO NOW HOW IS HIS LIFE). This wasn't like a typical valentine's day fic but I kinda like that since there wasn't an overwhelming amount of cheesiness.
I kinda expected (and hoped lmao) Sehun would be ( ... )

best friends turned lovers is a thing i always enjoy, especially bc to me it's one of the many typical sekai plots. it's a bit clichéd, but clichés are good, at least to me, and sekai + cliché plot can only be good, especially if it's you who's writing it. after all, your headcanons are pretty similar to mine and i guess the reason why we stick to each other still is bc we agree in so many points.
