We have had this 20% off Bed, Bath & Beyond coupon sitting around. Mmm, that sounds yum! And not terribly complicated. I have been highly tempted to get an ice cream maker as of late, in part due to reading David Lebowitz's blog. He has some unusual recipes posted online that sound very intriguing.

By the way, brennye gave me a copy of your book. Thank you for the kind inscription, I really look forward to reading it.

Yeah, I was very surprised at how simple the sorbet recipes are. Apparently to do it properly you're supposed to do a lot of milling and straining, but I kind of like the "chunky" style that resulted from just pureeing.

And thank you for the link! Fascinating stuff. I might have to take absinthe ice cream to work... and homemade blood orange sorbet is going on the list for sure...

This weekend's experiments will include kiwi-raspberry sorbet and white peach sorbet (maybe with a bit of ginger).
