So occasionally I get comments from pro-microsoft people as to why I am so not wanting to even touch vista or other newer windows products with a 10 ft pool.

I got a free working copy of the latest Vista at the HP Technology Forum. It sux balls, you hit windows tab and it tries to be OSX, Booooo.
