the dark side of the moon

Zander is in the music room of his manor, playing an elegant and slow piece on the piano for his parents' holiday party that is to be held on Christmas Eve. His fingers play fluidly on the keys, and he's very concentrated.

piano, christmas, party, home

Sabeena stumbles through his fireplace and follows the music. She doesn't know why him calling her Sabeena hurt so bad but she's determined to figure out what the hell his problem is. When she gets to the room he's in she stands and watches him play, completely mesmerized by the music.

You're calling me Sabeena! Next thing I know you're not going to be talking to me at all.

*laughs again*

Does calling you Sabeena bother you, then?

From you, yeah, it does. I don't know why. It just does.

That's strange.

*puts out his cigarette and walks back over to her, touching a spot on her face*

Hmm. Freckles.

I know.

*raises an eyebrow*

Yes, there are freckles on my face. There are some on yours too.

Hmmm.

*purposefully crosses his eyes trying to look at them, smiling slightly*

I guess I should pay more attention when I look in the mirror.

They're from the sun so there aren't many.

Zander stuffs his hands in his pockets and murmurs, "You learn something new every day." He then disappears for a couple minutes before returning with two mugs of tea. He leans against the piano, sipping his.

My parents informed me at breakfast that you could attend their party tomorrow night. It's very boring, though, so I wouldn't recommend it, and I can't entertain either because I have to play. *runs his hand along a few piano keys*

*sips her tea*

If it's formal then count me out. If you can sneak away come over to my house.

Yes, very formal.

I'll try. Actually, my parents probably won't notice if I do.

Ew. I only do formal when I have to.

I'll leave the Floo Network open then.

Well, good thing this isn't mandatory.

Okay.

*takes her gently by the elbow and starts to walk from the room*

Let's go do something. The music room is getting cramped.

Thank God. That'd mean I'd have to put on a dress. *wrinkles nose at the thought*

*grins*

Do what?
