I feel like i should go into more detail. For example Federal law opposes the use of medicinal marijuana, however several states have legalized it claiming that it's unjust. So several hospitals in the states have marijuana and are using it for it's medicinal value even though the Federal law still opposes it.

Yes, it is still illegal to possess, or consume pot as far as colorado state law and federal law is concerned. However Denver police officers are NOT required to cite someone for personal use anymore. They still CAN under state law, but the personal use penality is a $100 fine.
