Here's what's left of my application packet. Gives me plenty of time to get in peak shape and do some leisurely reading.

6/26 - Finalize some documentation

6/29 (or 6/30 depending on recruiter) 7/1 - Drive to MEPS for medical exam and security clearance

7/1 (or 7/2 depending on recruiter) 6/29 - Physical Fitness Test

I know you're aiming for Medical Service, but it'd be fun if you end up in Armor. You'd have my permission to call me up and complain about how crappy the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (i.e. CCTT, the project I work on) is. :P

If you don't mind the cold and altitude, Fort Carson is by far my favorite base I've been to thus far. Colorado Springs is a really nice town with an affinity for microbrewing and, in my experience, really good food. I'll just say that I don't think it's misguided when Ft. Carson pimps itself as "the best hometown in the Army."

Ah, Colorado Springs! Yeah, I think I see myself as a person who likes dressing up over having to decide which clothes to wear without sweating my ass off. The Air Force Academy was my second military college of choice during high school (West Point being the first, of course); it would've been nice to study there, hehe. Nonetheless, I'm glad you pointed out Fort Carson, which will now be one of the choices on my list. Good looking out, Erich!
