I was training!

Training doesn't nearly snap your arm in two.

... why are you doing this to me, Haku?

[Haku grunts]

I still claim full responsibility for that. I really should have stopped the match before it happened but...well I myself was unsure what your endurance level was. I apologize sincerely.

Realistically it's not about endurance... I mean even the strongest human can still break their bones if they land wrong. The problem with us, though, is that there are so many wires running beneath our shells, especially in less protected area like the arms and legs, that a break can often rip some of them.

Even then it takes a while for it to properly register in our systems 'you can no longer move these limbs because there's a break in the connection'. Hence why he was able to continue sparring even with it broken.

The more I learn about your family and the longer you are in this world the fewer distinctions between yourselves and humans exist.

That was how we were built. Naturally some people were still afraid of just how uncanny we were to humans, but the fact that we look, act and think like you made a huge difference in how we were received in comparison to other androids of our time.

I'm starting to wonder if I should begin studying human anatomy on top of everything I've learned about Vocaloid schematics...
