There is some recoil - you can tell by the firer's response when the hammer drops on the empty chamber and he lurches slightly forward in response to the the recoil that is not there. I'm not saying that this is misrepresentation - to a certain extent, this is conditioned into anyone who's ever fired a firearm. Admittedly, this is a weapon with a ridiculously small amount of recoil...

Have you seen the FRAG-12 rounds for it?

Ah yes, the finest shotgun ever made. I learned about this while studying Russian Forces some. The Anti-personal rounds have some great range on them too.
