Two Three eps into the new Doctor Who, and now I know I have no love for the new Doctor. I still like the show, but I actually physically hurt for MY Doctor. *sniff* Actual pain. Weird.

p.s. buhbuhraven, I have a DVD and a CD going in the mail tomorrow for you :)

It's good to know that a DT fan questions the early chemistry too :) There's chemistry with Ten, but I think I had some kind of love for the questionable nature of the older Doctor/Rose chemistry. Maybe I have a Daddy complex. Hmmmm.

Now you know what happened every few years for the old show's fans. They'd start watching the series with Tom Baker (Doctor 4), then suddenly he'd regenerate and tons of fans would go "eeeewwww, this Peter Davidson guy sucks!"

Everyone has their favorite Doctor, even for the new viewers of the show now. Personally, I loved Colin Baker's (Doctor 6).

Yup, Tom Baker was my first Doctor, and I liked him a lot, but I don't think I developed a crush on him. I would have been cheating on Luke Skywalker if I had :)

I'm not sure why I stopped watching as a child, but I believe it was due to switching television providers and not having PBS on the channel lineup anymore. Thus, I was spared any post-regenerative stress syndrome.

Aww, man... I went through it all. Started with #4, wanted to hate #5 but he grew on me, LOVED #6, had a hard time watching #7 (the plots were very confusing).

Here is the weird thing... and btw, did you get to see the Christmas Invation? That is a good introduction to this Doctor... oh, the point, this Doctor is much less of a forgiving than 9. He's rougher, and I'm not sure he's needs Rose as much as 9 did. After all, 9 met Rose shortly after loosing everything he knew to win the time wars. 10 seems to have grown numb from the scars that were still raw in 9.

But that difference hasn't destroyed 10 for me, just made me appreciate 9 that much more. Hope that helps!

It does help, and while I know I'll never warm to Ten, I still love the show. You're exactly right, that does seem to be the difference in the character. I think the difference for me is also in the acting performances. In my warped world, I can see CE going home and living as The Doctor, but DT seems to be just acting.

It's just a crush...I'll get over it. Right? *wimpers*
