A small child rounds the corner of the storeroom. He stops before the window and stares at it.

At least, you think he does because he's wearing a very foreign looking mask over his face, obscuring any clues of who he might be.

[Itsuki eventually moves to the back of the cell, where the window is, in hopes that someone can better hear him from there. He meets the strange child just outside and stares at them, part relieved, part confused.]

Hello?

[He's never seen any of the village children wearing a mask like that.]

The child in the mask stares up at Itsuki. He shakes softly from side to side, like a reed in the wind. It seems very interested in the fact you're there.

Very interested indeed.

But no words are said and it doesn't respond in any way.

[Interest is all well and good... Can the little guy put it to use? Itsuki grabs hold of the rusted iron bars and leans forward.]
