The No. 1 seed, and star attraction, surprised tournament organizers by arriving a day early, flying into Beijing with his friend and countryman, Carlos Moya. Unfortunately, Rafa's luggage elected to stay in Frankfurt, causing him to miss his first practice. He nearly missed his next practice, when he overslept and missed breakfast. After some communication between Uncle Toni and the hotel staff, he was given some bread, which he stuffed inside his Babolat bag, and then headed to the practice courts.

Oh my... that's something alright. Geez, i don't think i would want to be there when he's practicing. Between his postdepression over Leonid and having to wake up early... everything on the court would be broken even before he's done with it XD.

But i have a feeling he'd come back with a whole new spunk. Let's just hope i'm as much as a psychic as you are XP.

Oh I forgot. Mardy Fish is some other player who Roddick is VERY close to. Apparently they grew up together, lived together and all. And during one of Roddick's press conferences, Mardy snuck in and poured champagne all over him. XD
