OMG...

I usually don't normally like the Eight/Master part of the fandom, but this was creepy and believable enough to be awesome.

Totally loved it.

Thank you :)! Hm, Eight/Master is not for everyone, especially since it is a bit hard to write, so I am really glad you loved it!

mostly it's because its a shell/Doctor and not REALLY the Master, or maybe its the fact I didn't like Roberts in the first place...

but you're right, it's not for everyone lol. :P

Hm, I sometimes have the feeling there isn't much Roberts!Master love going on anyway, not that I would disagree...but I came to accept him somehow. Also with the shell thing...wouldn't that then go for Ainley!Master as well, or is that different for you? Just wondering :).

What always surprises me is that Eight is mostly paired up with Jacobi!Master though; the Doctor and the Master we have seen least about on screen.

Oooo. TVM fic is rare enough that I had to read this. And I was not disappointed.

Thank you! Glad I didn't disappoint :) and I think there should be more TVM fic...

Wow. Um ... wow. Creepy and amazing. Love Eight, so reading this was a joy. In a creepy sort of way. Loved it, anyway!

This is fantastic! I know the TVM is probably not the best-loved DW canon there is, but Paul McGann's Doctor is lovely - so vulnerable and boyish and very pretty... I think you've got his voice spot on. And the Master calling him 'my dear...' that's so Ainley, isn't it? (That is actually a serious question since I'm not very familiar with Classic Master at all, but it seems to fit what I've read of Ainley!Master...)
I think it's kind of a shame Simm!Master never called him 'dear' but in a way it wouldn't go with that persona, I don't think, so perhaps just as well.
As for the Master seducing poor Eight, well that's the kind of thing he would do, definitely. Oh, and the whole thing is very HOT, just so you know....

Thank you :)! The TVM isn't one of my favourites either, but if I retcon a few bits it is quite good. Paul McGann mainly saved it for me though with all his...prettiness ;).
And yes it is quite Ainley!Master and Delgado!Master as well, but I think with Ainley!Master the dearing was even worse (but I can be mistaken). You really should watch more of the Classic Episodes though, they are good (well, most of them, anyway).
To be honest I always hoped Simm!Master would call him that and I think it would fit his persona if it was said sarcastically or mockingly or just to annoy the Doctor.

I've never seen "vanish" turned into a verb in quite that way before. Interesting.

I like this. It's eerie. I can't quite remember Roberts!Master precise voice, but this comes across as Overall!Master very well.

Thank you :)!

To be honest, neither have I and I didn't know it was possible to do that with 'vanish', but I trust aralias with this.

Hm, Roberts!Master voice is hard to remember, mainly because I blocked most of him out, which is why I tried to make it more generic masterish all over, which I am glad has worked.
