Yes, if you see it this way and only see what you want to see and that is that Cuddy was House’s saviour because she has created a job/department for him at PPTH then you can see Cuddy as saint Cuddy.
But if you see the full picture and take into consideration that Cuddy and her team of doctors have ruined Houses health and life via medical malpractice in the first place, then you can see creating the job/department for him at PPTH as some kind of damage control and try to prevent him from suing her and the hospital.

What many people tend to forget is that House was that what gave PPTH reputation. His skill, to cure people who nobody else could cure, earned the ratings and the donor money in the first line.
It wasn't charity nor good will giving House his job and his department, it was the single and only brilliant thing Cuddy ever did.
