Anne McCaffrey has died. It's a sad day for the science fiction and fantasy community. She was a powerhouse of the genre, helping to pave the way for generations of women creators after her. She also created some very popular worlds, including the Dragonriders of Pern

Nice! I miss playing with the Dragonsfire crew. It's funny, and a little sad, I was looking at Zazerkath's inspiration just two days ago, and thinking of old times.
