It's time for the Art Car Parade!

My parents and I are preparing to depart for our annual picnic on the Art Car Parade route. This year we are trying to get there extra early to get a shady spot, and see the cars before they drive. I hope to get more interesting photos this year than just snaps of the sides of the cars. We'll see.

That was you! I thought it might be, but my usual procrastination set in re: messaging. My parents held that package for me while I was on vacation.

I did a Special Dance of Joy when I saw it, which totally baffled my mother for a moment. But, being a book person herself (we recently went a book-buying spree in which we found the first 13 volumes of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series on sale for $1 or $2 each) she quickly understood.
