I'm not sure if this is something you've ever tried or thought about (re: jaw pain), but there are chiropractors who specialize in adjusting the jaw (basically) - the technique is called cranio-sacral, I think. I only mention it because I also have TMJ, and it actually went away after a period of getting these adjustments. now granted, I no longer get them and the TMJ has returned, so it's definitely not a permanent solution.

I've been thinking about polytheism lately, mostly in terms of feeling more in tune with ancient greek gods rather than modern religious tenents. I've decided to embrace my love of Athena by getting an owl print for my study ^_^

Two best things for my TMJ - braxism plate from the dentist, for braxism, not TMJ, covered under dental.

Physiotherapy for TMJ. Some very focused exercise... very interesting and a little odd at times.

But it worked.

I have jaw problems too. A few times it just gets "stuck".

I had a lot of issues with my jaw when they were adjusting everything with the braces. It would, as waltzing_mice says, get "stuck," which was as much painful as it was annoying. It eventually went away, though.

No, I don't have anything helpful to offer. Just commiseration. XD
