The new DVD player works. Setting it region-free was easy. Mom and Dad got very snarky at my beloved MerlinLuckily I've watched all the episodes at least twice already (but never so smoothly or with such high quality video) so I didn't miss anything while explaining the whole "Camelot High" and "Magical Renaissance Festival" stories

Anthony Head as Uther Pendragon. Nothing more EVER needs to be said. Mmmmm. Though AH as Giles/Ripper was sexier.

Also, my sister refers to this show as Merlin the Slashy Sorceror, and I cannot disagree.

Some episodes I can hardly keep a straight face when the dragon pronounces Merlin's destiny. (Mom said, 'oh, his density. ha ha ha.' I <3 geek parents.)

LOL - yes, series 2 is probably already in pre-production, I think they start filming in the spring for an autumn run on the BBC.
I wish we could get iPlayer here! :(
