Wow, I am so ready for NaNoWriMo to be over. I am *thiiiiiis* close to winning for the first time ever, but I am also really DONE with this whole story

I think the "finish or fail" stance is terrible because it suggests that quantity is more important than the experience of art. I've really, really, really enjoyed your nanos this month but if you're not getting something out of it right now, and if a show deadline or publisher's contract is not breathing down your neck, you absolutely owe it to yourself to pursue the current artistic passion, whatever it is. I can't state this strongly enough. Life is too short and no one can do your art for you except you, so take that inspiration and run NOW.
Oh! And another thing! If your household is not wanting for potholders, miniature quilts do really well at shows and on etsy, and it seems Maya has to be in possession of a doll quilt or doll blanket at all times.
And we do need potholders, plus I thought they would make good gifts for the cooks I know. (Especially if I use the rockin' awesome skull fabric, or some other geeky thing.)
I may take that advice about the writing, especially because I have one more NaNo write-in to go to tomorrow (I organize them, and they are very fun, so I will go), at which I could probably cross the finish line.
Perhaps tonight shall be potholder night. And oh, man, you watch me hit Joann's on Friday. Or! Or! Maybe I could convince Mom that Saturday is the *perfect* day to go to the Painted Pony! (That's our closest-to-local phantasmagoric specialty quilt fabric store. It's a bit of a drive but totally worth it.) ;)
Yes yes, excellent advice. And if you don't finish writing it you will merely have to tell me what would have happened, or I will have to shake you. *smiles sweetly* No pressure...
