For about a week I've had the futons in the kitchen at night, laid out snug between the table and the closet. I have been getting the best sleep ever, deep and restful and full of random & vivid dreaming, and I have no idea why that is ( Read more... )

Wow that really surprises me that they have a positive view on Muslims. I would have thought the opposite as well. I suppose your right, the media doesn't cover the same things such that Pakistani is practically a pejorative now.
Japanese students probably only encounter Muslims within the context of a cooking class or trying on a burka at a culture festival. (yeah i thought that was kinda weird...)

It was at a festival in Tsu they had a rack of clothing pieces from around the world for people to pose with, amoung other things was a sombrero, a spanish bolero, some Peruvian ponchos and a burka.
Sadly there was no one around to explain about the clothing pieces.
