I'm sure I mentioned this before, but I didn't shave for about 3 years, and I was living in Chicago at the time. I never liked my body hair, but I was just so tired of dealing with it all the time and since I was surrounded by other female-identified folks who were eschewing razors, I decided to give it a try

I dunno, it's like at the root I can't fathom how not shaving or burning bras is supposed to emancipate women, but presented with an argument like Jeffreys' (thanks a lot for the lesson in apostrophe use now I can never use apostrophes again my hands are shaking I'm using it wrong I know it) I do find myself agreeing that shaving and bras are detrimental to the process of emancipation. I don't know where I was going with this now. I guess I think rad fem is a battle fought and lost. The ideas are good, but putting them in practice makes people think feminists are nuts.
