Yeahh it did! That's what i was thinking too, I didn't think it would curve under so drastically... oops.
Thanks ;; <3 not without all your helpppp
I'm gonna try to make my own pattern for the next guys, but you know I'll be asking for your opinion on themmm. I'm thinking I might do the koi fish next, but ggggg gotta work on aang. ;_; I actually just want to PLUSH PLUSH PLUSH all these critters.
FFFF yeah I hope so!! I have my sister's machine now so hopefully my mom can show me how to use it... I still need to go get that perfect color from joann's oops. and some yellow and dark dark red for the arms/legs... HRNNN.
Great job, this is adorable! I would buy it if it were a mass produced plush.
I can't remember if I asked this before, but how long have you been sewing? I want to learn how to make plush, but I'm worried that I'll be stuck in the learning curve stage for years.
Probably for the last... 6 months? off and on, I've only really worked on my breloom cosplay too, so I really have like 0 experience making new patterns and such... But I think I'm catching on quickly!
I think if you want to do something you should just go for it. You can't really expect your first plush to be exactly how you want it to turn out, and you won't get any better until you start practicing. :)
Oh wow. I just assumed you'd been working on costumes for at least a year or two. I'm really picky about custom plush, but this Pabu is very close to professional quality, imo.
My main problem is going to be coming up with patterns. I could probably handle something simple (I have a Kuriboh pattern bookmarked that I'm going to start off with, after I buy some cheap felt), but anything complicated, like those embroidered feet, I don't even know where to start on. It doesn't help that I don't know any plush makers in real life to give me tips. I guess I'll use internet tutorials and hope I don't royally screw up.
Thank you, that means a lot! I like to think I'm picky with customs too, so I'm really glad you think so... :)
But hey, it's okay! I actually just learned today how to sew little toes into the feet. I used this guide. it has a few different feet types and some cool head shapes too to give you an idea! I've never come up with my own pattern before either so we'll just have to see how well I do next time, guuhhhhhh.
I actually had the idea of embroidering little paw pads into every foot, but I'm really glad I ditched the idea because it was taking forever and I also had to cut the feet down by a lot.
Well, I've made two breloom tails, one really tiny one and one huge wearable one, a breloom neck piece and breloom mushroom cap. And of course this Pabu! But really Pabu is the only one of those things that are really a plush...
