FOOD AND DRINK mr_mildmannered July 28 2010, 03:04:06 UTC
(Because what is a holiday without food and socialising? It's traditional Japanese food. Or as traditional as the Kitchen could get it. )

Japanese food still felt so foreign to him.

Surge was used to American food, the food of his homeland, the food that he was used to, and was even abundant in at least his version of Kanto. Sure, Kanto had some exotic food, but not a lot. If they did at times, too, he usually strayed from it for something more familiar.

Looks like he didn't have a choice in the matter right now, though. He looked over the different food, raising an eyebrow immediately at most of them.

Kevin was having a similar reaction.

The Beast Kingdom wasn't exactly known for its fine cuisine. In fact, the most refined thing you could find on a good day was some charred meat from the day's hunt. Everything here was different colors, very very small, and smelled funny. How were you supposed to make a make a meal out of this stuff?

Jon, however, had no such qualms.

A lot of this food smelled like fish. And he was more than happy with that. He was loading two plates pretty high with various pieces of sashimi and tempura and there was the faintest of smiles on his face as he did so.

(Here to work on your tan!? By all means! The sun is bright, the sand is warm and the breeze is balmy.)

Rosalina wasn't really one for bikinis and skimpier clothing, but just for today, she could be seen in a rather stellar swimming outfit (with a top, obviously). She felt a bit flustered by having to go out like this, but it was a beach trip. Sadly, that would require beach clothing.

Ah well, she would just enjoy the sun for now and lay out on a towel. She began by slathering some sunscreen on herself (protection was necessary, after all), and then proceeding to lie down. She wouldn't exactly oppose to socialization at all right now, though.

The initial plan was to catch Scrooge with his guard down, and snatch his dime once and for all. But... how often did Magica get a break?

Clark was sitting on a towel not too far from here, writing avidly in a notebook he'd brought along.

As he heard her near he looked up from the pages and smiled. "Hello! I'm glad to see you made it."

(Or perhaps you'd prefer a dip in the salty, warm waters of this world. Frolic with the fishes or feel free to just float to your hearts content.)

"....HIDAN!" Clark yelled. "You need some swimming trunks! There are women and children present!"

....one thing he hadn't thought to bring was spare swimming attire. He didn't think anyone would 'forget' their own.

Said child [or more-so in the mental department] tilted her head in confusion, and finally asked "What's so wrong with swimming without anything?"

Fortunately, she has yet to see Hidan's 'nether regions'.

SUIKAWARI AKA SMASHING WATERMELONS mr_mildmannered July 28 2010, 03:12:52 UTC
(Where you're blindfolded, given a large, wooden implement and set loose on unsuspecting fruit. Because there's no way that can possibly go wrong!)

"So hey, what's with the watermelons, huh? Think I can just dig on in?" Surge questioned.

Clearly he was very unfamiliar with the art of watermelon smashing. It was a pretty foreign tradition and/or sport, apparently.

"Well, I think Tsuchiya could explain it better than me, but it's sort of like Pinata. You don't eat them right away, instead you have to use the wooden whacking stick to smash the melon while blindfolded - kind of like a Pinata." replied Clark.

So he had to be blindfolded, and just whack at it like a pinata? Not bad. Surge could do this with no problem. "Alright! Blind me, I'll give a shot!" He spoke, taking one of the sticks in his hands.

Did really you think he'd cut off from being the silent pervert, also known as Mutsuriini, on a holiday? Well, you're wrong. Very wrong. Today's one of those days when a man only gets one chance. That's right; peeping on the girls while they're wearing swimsuits.

With all honesty, he is thankful at Clark for organizing this event to celebrate the oceans and the like, his hormonal nature just can't resist. So watch out ladies and traps, he's gonna snap everything he got.

((OOC: Basically, where you want your character to get unknowingly their picture taken, any dudes are welcome to caught him in the act or join him~))

Oh look.

Here was a lady.

She was in a hot bikini and ready to not be snapshotted but do it anyway.

And a fine lady she was! Tsuchiya steadily prepared in the shadows, camera in-hand and snap.

... Crap he was starting to bleed. He quickly shuffled elsewhere before he gets exposed.

Little did he realized he left a droplet of blood or so nearby.

Rosalina was just going to go about her business, lalalala, oh hey look at those shells, they looked really nice next to that blood and-

Wait what. Blood. That... was not a very good sign.

She rose a hand to her mouth, glancing around. It... It couldn't have been blood, right? Maybe someone just brought food and dropped ketchup, or heck, some kind of red sauce in the sand. That's all, right?

Was anyone in any danger, she wondered?
