The Death of Lieutenant Matthies Surge

Characters: Roger, Surge, anyone who wants to watch a grown man cry.
What: Roger and Surge are sparring.
Where: One of the larger training rooms.
When: Sunday, November 9th.
Warnings: Suppressor magic is on, so no one's getting hurt. Except Surge.

((By powers being suppressed, I'm assuming that Surge's guns would be fine to use since their power's lessened? He'll be using one with little exploding 'rockets' since those just explode and don't cause bullet wounds, and the explosions are suppressed and wouldn't cause any bad harm like they usually would. This is okay, yes? \o *double-checking*))

Surge also hadn't found himself in battle for very long, at least outside of a typical gym leader battle with his Pokemon at his side. The last time he fought without his Pokemon aiding him was while he was in the military, and that was years ago. He craved the idea of battle like this again, so when he realized that he was finally going to get it, he jumped right for it.

He arrived in the sparring room with a rocket launcher tucked under his arm. Thankfully, from being at Zenithia before, I'd assume he knew by now that powers could be suppressed, so surely these guns wouldn't do any severe harm like usual. In fact, they probably wouldn't do anything too bad at all, which was good.

((Yep! That's how Roger's using his axe without cutting any of Surge's limbs off. They just sort of do damage without wounding people, like in any RPG. |D))

"Sorta," Roger replied, staring down at the weapons. "Y'see, I was feelin' kinda bad for ya, not really knowin' what you're gettin' into. So I'm givin' ya a handicap. Just pick any of my weapons ya want me to not use!"

That he was being a jerk was indisputable, but whether Surge would actually need the handicap was a mystery.

Surge snorted at this declaration. Really now? He still thought he could do a lot of damage with those weapons? He bet that he couldn't even use them properly. How crazy and full of himself did he seem to Surge right now? Very.

"Haha, are you kidding me?! Use ANY of them! I can take 'em all on!"

"Whatever ya say!" Roger said cheerfully, picking the weapons back up and slipping them back into his hammerspace, not noticing their tiny spectator. "So, first blood, or till you're dead?"

In a horrible attempt at having his activity revived This Manliest of all Manly Spars had a Very Manly spectator. Or at least he was the son of a Very Very Very Manly Man so that almost sort of counted.

The Prince wasn't entirely sure why he had ended up in that spot at that time, but that did not really matter. Perched upon the most Manly of Katamaris he had (he had left the one mad entirely of Manly Men at home), he watched the spar. He had a tiny notebook in his tiny hands that he was taking tiny notes on.

This would all be Very Important in the future to look back on, he was sure.
