Jon arrived a little early himself, having swapped out his restrictive Steampunk attire for his old trousers and cloth belt. He was in his wolven form as it was the better one for fighting with, and allowed him access to his more interesting attacks.
"Hello." He said, coming into the arena and falling into step beside Felicia as she ran, keeping up with her easily with a four-footed loping gait. "Been a while since we've done anything like this... Hope you've not been slackin' too much." he said, though, there was the tiniest hint of jest in his voice.
Looking behind her as she ran, she grinned. "Me? Slack off? Surely you jest!" she teased right back, turning and skidding to a stop on all fours. "I'm pretty sure I can give you a run for your money!" she boasted playfully.
"She'll be a short run then, mate - don't have much money to run for." he replied, tail wagging hsrd.
This was going to be a lot of fun. For not being a trained combatant with a backround in any particular style of fighting, Felicia was good. She'd gotten as far as she did through the tournaments on talent and whatever skill she picked up along the way, and despite the fact that he'd never said so out loud, he found that both worthy of envy and admiration.
Hopping up to both feet, Felicia hopped in place a couple of times to limber up and fell into her usual stance, paws raised. "So, you ready for me?" she grinned.
"Ready when you are." he replied, arching his back and pouncing side to side. He'd wait to see what kind of attack she launched first before rushing in himself.
...this was nice, he mused. Last time they had fought it had been... well.. fighting. Even though they were testing thier skills right now? It still felt more like a game. He didn't play games. Not normally. But then again, he didn't normally tap his foot to music or grin or whistle 'Greased Lightning' either barring when he spent time with her so why shouldn't he Play as well?
