What, so you say I will soon have a comic book in my hot little hands that is 1) about Barrie's Wendy, Carroll's Alice, and Baum's Dorothy, 2) high class literary/artistic pornography, 3) illustrated by Melinda fucking Gebbie, and 4) written by Alan fucking Moore?

You're going to get it, eh? It's so freaking expensive... I'll end up reading it one way or another, but I don't know about actually buying it.
I actually have the first issue. It focuses mostly on the erotica and not on the storyline so I was a bit disappointed, but I'm intrigued with the overall story.

It's close to my birthday so I'll probably have some b-day money lying around for it.

Have you read much other Alan Moore? His narratives are so tightly crafted that sometimes you need the whole big picture before the small parts make sense, which is why I haven't gone out of my way to find individual issues.

I'll report back when I've read it regarding if it is worth the $75. The thing I'm most excited about is that Moore tends to be a visionary in the best sense of the word, and the idea that someone with big ideas is going to reclaim pornography from the realm of dehumanizing trash is very cool to me. I love porn as a concept, but it sure is awful/tawdry/cruel in execution a lot of the time.

I'd much appreciate a review once you've slogged through it.
Now, if only my town had a library I could check out such a thing from... yeah right. Even if we had a library, the pseudo-porn would've gotten kicked out by now.
