Live Below the Line 2012

I found out about this last year, but didn't join because I was in my last semester of thesis. This year, I'm pretty keen on taking the challenge, and I think it'd be great if other people could join me. :) (Form a team, maybe?)

But that's the point. It is impossible to have a balanced diet (on $2/day), so anyone doing the 'challenge' can understand how incredible well-off they are when they don't have a tiny budget to live off.

You can get a balanced diet, in terms of having carbs, vegetables and some protein. It just might be the same meal each time. :p

If you really don't want to cheat, figure out how much oil that is as a percentage, multiply that by the price and then take it away from the $10.

I think if i were trying, dropping down to 2 main meals a day might give you some extra money for more balanced meals. But of course this will depend on how active you are.

I plan 3 meals. Cheap instant noodles for breakfast, and the same type of meal for both lunch and dinner. (Rice or pasta based.) I'm hoping the Asian Grocer has good reduced stock pickings when I do the challenge. XD They other day they had some large bags full of baby potatoes. 8D
