Yeah yeah I know...

Tonight I'm studying with the Doctor (read: the Seduction of passed fame. I've determined the Doctor is a better name since I'm the one that got Seduced and it's way beyond all of that now.) in the basement library of St. Joe's hospital. Having just seen the new exorcist movie, it's interesting to be underground on a saturday night, with *no one* ( Read more... )

The flickering lights would freak me out. Too many bad ghost movis.

What did you think of the new Exorcist? I've heard it is sort of a re-hasing of what you find out in II mixed with a lot of pointless gore.

One-sided love and large quantities of sex!

My favorite library at UT was in the clock tower (where that guy went on a shooting spree...wait, I think I'm getting "shopping spree" mixed up with shooting ______...oh well). When you walked in it was all large chandeliers and grandiose wood accents. The study rooms had long, heavy wood tables with leather wing chairs scattered about.

However, once you got down into the stacks it was all flourescent lights, concrete, and pipes. It, for some reason, always reminded me of a concentration camp with books. There were individual cells for studying, each one numbered.

I LOVED that place.

Hehehe, I'm *such* a claustrophile. Your library sounds wonderous. I love the word "stacks" too. It just summons up an image of a knowledge labrynthe. (sp?) As a gay man, I believe libraries and basements are the only place flourescent lights have any right to exist.

I've always wanted to have sex in a deserted library... wouldn't that be fun!?

Hello seductee...

Sorry it's been so long - the library sounds divine. I spent a lot of my time while attending KU down in the library cellar stacks - musty, dim, silent, creepy...wonderful, in other words. Old Catholic medical library? Delicious! Did you take any pictures?

Er, so you are not pleased with your current entanglement?

Glad to see you again...

Hahaha, I didn't take any pictures, but I'll be sure to now that I know you're interested. You and I are very much alike. I used to walk across the street on my high school lunch hour to eat in the graveyard. Hahaha. The library is delicious. In the library, it's all quiet, but then a little speaker phone will come on and some depressed nurse will call for a trauma team in emergency room one. And every night at 8pm (end of visitor hours) the same woman will pray over the same speaker phone, but still in a depressed tone. It's all very macabre.

I'm please with it(the entanglement), but at the same time, it's odd. I've been meaning to give a thorough breakdown of the current situation, but haven't had time to write. When I get it all up, I'd like to read your opinion. =)

Glad to see you again, too, dear. Are you feeling oodles better?
