Why is EVERYONE blowing their load over them all of a sudden? I mean, yeah, they're really good. I like them. But it seems that because of Tron, so many people are like, HUGE DP fans. Makes me wonder... What about INTERSTELLA 5555? I've never seen INTERSTELLA 5555, but then again, I'm not claiming to be a huge DP fan. If everyone's such a ( Read more... )

Daft Punk is cool again because TRON is the first thing they've done in like 8 years. Even old fans would be hardpressed to be excited about their work when there wasn't anything new.

Unless you count that "Technologic" song that was used for Ipods.

Hahaha, yeah, at first I saw an anon comment and was nervous it might be a troll, but once I saw what it was, I was like, "Oh, Kelly." xD

P.S. I am also too lazy to log in.

This just gives me the power to never log in. I am so glorious that my mark is made without the need for a username and/or hilarious avatar.

It was a troll though. Just a troll that you love. Jerk.

Hey, I have a Daft Punk folder and I am totes fine with it. Just preference, really.

Well, it's just like with anything that becomes mainstream. It gets popular. I guess I could thank Tron for reigniting that Daft Punk flame and making me listen to them more again because it's one of those artists I had in my closet from middle school but because nothing HUGE has come out directly FROM them (I don't even count "Stronger" because that's not their original work, if that makes sense) I stopped listening to a lot of their stuff.

They haven't done anything in a LONG while since Human After All in 2005. Live shows and remixes since but not anything TOO major until Tron.

It's not the same for everyone though. For some, this is their first real dose of Daft Punk, which is awesome, actually. I don't mind the mainstream attention to Daft Punk because I think they're artists who should get more attention ( ... )
