I just got a call from Stanford asking if I could do my sleep study tonight. Somebody else canceled, so I get to go in today. A month earlier than my appointment. Woo!
So excited. Hopefully not too excited to sleep tonight...
hope it works out for you -- I did a sleep study a couple of years ago (I've got sleep apnea) and ended up with a CPAP out of it -- probably one of the most significant changes in my quality of life that I've ever made.
apart from the fact that my wife can now sleep without ear plugs (snoring), I could get far more oxygen when I sleep -- so that I sleep better (no more falling asleep on the couch in the evenings for 2 hours) and the increased oxygen means that there's much less chance of congestive heart failure, since the heart isn't having to work double-time to get enough O2. I can't speak for others, but for me, it really did.
