I've actually never read the full version. I did read an abridged version, though. Dude was messed up.
You should read it! I swear, all the men are gay. Especially Lord Henry, who I think has got to be the biggest douche ever and I hope he dies real quick. Either Wilde was absolutely brilliant or had the biggest issues with women.
Wilde himself was gay. That might explain some of it.
I don't know what the case was with Sybil. I think the idea was supposed to be like Romeo and Juliet - that she threw herself into a relationship with Dorian too quickly and was so obsessed with him that when they have their first argument, she just goes off and kills herself instead of at least waiting until he calmed down to see if he regretted his words.

And before this chapter I was just thinking, despite how infuriating it is, Gethsemane's fics are just all too similar and her insert too dull/passive and black-holey to make for good spite fics.

Yeah, I was pretty much figuring that this fic was one big pile of "blah", and then I read this chapter. I had a spaz attack and really was planning on writing a huge rant, but yeah. ^^;
In a later author's note, Gethesemane goes on about how boring her life is and "Gee, I wish I was a pirate! Their lives are just so interesting!" So no, I don't think she gets it.
