Bootstrap cares more about the happiness of some random girl than he does for his own son.

It is things like this that make me question whether she HAS a family. If she does, I would suspect that she resents her children because they're taking Daddy's precious attention away from her.

...Wait, now a whole lot of things we're seeing in her writing make perfect sense.

I doubt she has a husband and children like I doubt that Neil actually researched nudist lifestyles. Or else, she comes across as Meyer, who resents her husband and possible kids for not being hot and harlequin and perfect.

The hell is going on? I don't know what's happening because in terms of the story it's not making any sense. See Gethesemane, this is why we don't crib entire storylines from original canon, because when you change things and keep cribbing it doesn't make any sense! Gah!

Will and Elizabeth were important plotwise. Our Mate the Hated Kate has done less than Sarah Jane in a Fourth Doctor story arc. See, Sarah Jane screamed, twisted her ankle and then took out several Sontaran units with a notebook. Kate apparently drives Jack batshit, thinks that sex is more important than staying alive and shoves the plot out the window for more moonlit views of her swanning around in stupidly impractical clothing, banging Jack and making everyone dance to her attention.

I love stories about family, and family bonds. *Well-written* romance? I can take it or leave it, but I love me some great, interesting families.
